Stoked

Michael Vine, a Senior Designer at 10 Red, sees the world – and especially urban terrain – through the eyes of a skateboarder. While you or I might see granite steps in terms of architecture or accessibility, Mike sees them as something to ollie. (Personal best: 11 steps, the YMCA, Dayton, Ohio. “I was asked to leave,” he recalls.)

Mike began skateboarding at the age of 9, after seeing Back to the Future. “With that movie, every kid in America wanted to be Marty McFly.” During summer vacations, he and his friends would skate 10 hours a day, every day.   Today, street skating isn’t merely a sport or a pastime: It’s a lifestyle […]

Create Upstate

Posted by adm1n-red in People/Culture

It's not every day that you get to sit amongst 250 fellow Creatives in your hometown, but on May 13th, I relished in it. There's something amazing about being around people who see the world as you see it, through the warped and beautiful lens of a designer. I was lucky enough to attend the 3rd annual Create Upstate right here in Syracuse, NY along with fellow 10 Redder Chris May.

As a self-proclaimed professional shower singer, I enjoy country […]

Spreading Peace

Here at 10Red we have a front window of the building which has been transformed into a rotating artist "exhibit". Essentially we have a committee in which everyone takes turns designing a large piece of artwork to be proudly displayed to all passer-byes. Just recently one of our designers, Silas Pandori, was lucky enough to grace the front window with his art.

Silas Pandori of 10Red writes, “There is something simple and pure about Spring as everything is coming back to life. The child in the illustration represents this feeling of innocence and life. My wife and I are bringing a child into the world any day now as well.” “Also, I planted a peace sign in […]

Chris & Silas Eat Carolina Reapers from 10 Red Design on Vimeo.

What, you ask? Originally named the HP22B, is a variety of chili pepper of the Capsicum chinense species. More commonly known as the The #1 & Only – World’s Hottest – Carolina Reaper. We will just simply refer to it as The Reaper or insanity in edible form. Why, you ask? Here at 10Red we are always welcoming interesting ways of brainstorming. Here’s […]
